I have a juvenile hen that is extremely off balance and can only walk backwards. She eats ok and drinks. Her poo looks good. She has been isolated for weeks. Giving her high doses of vitamin E. And electrolytes I am at a loss as to what is happening. I am trying to post a video.

I cannot see the pictures. Could she have suffered a head or neck injury? What is her exact age? I would treat her as wry neck with neurological symptoms or head injury. I would only use vitamin E 400 IU (270 mg) daily and a little human super B complex 1/4 tablet daily. A spoonful of cooked egg and yolk would help with selenium.

Finally got the videos to load.

The poor thing! She doesn't quite look like my girl. Like you said, it seems like she just can't get her balance. Has she always been like this, or did it start more recently? Definitely add the b vitamins and a source of selenium like @Eggcessive mentioned. All these things kind of work together to give them their best shot. I'd also give the electrolytes a break and go to plain water.

Could she have gotten injured? Was she vaccinated for Mareks? Her symptoms are neurological, but hard to know exactly what is causing this. I worry about about this being Mareks disease, but her symptoms are very unusual. Is she able to eat and drink enough? Does she stop this activity when she eats? Does it seem to be getting worse?

She has been like this since i got her from the breeder. She never walked much immediately after I brought her home so I took her out of her cage and this is how she behaved. I got her with another bird and that one is fine. I've been doing raw Egg yolk every day. I will make sure to add the b. She's only got the electrolytes once.

Same age from same breeder, don't believe she vaccinated her birds. And no injury. The other one is totally fine. Once a day I feed her crumble with egg yolk and vitamin e. I also make sure she drinks at that time. She moves around and eats during the day. When she eats she sort of just hunches down and eats. She's fine as long as she isn't trying to walk.
