Something got into my turkey youngsters and killed 4/6 of them. The remaining two are both injured and I'm not sure how to treat them or if treatment is possible. One has a leg ripped clean off, she's been laying down calmly. The other has a cut under it's wing where it connects to the ribs, it is acting fine the. I know in the wild a legless turkey is a dead turkey but seeing as she is in captivity I figured it's worth a try for saving her. Have any of you had experience with this? If so, what did you do and how did it turn out? Suggestions are appreciated!

Is bird actively bleeding? Either one? Both will appear sort of fine, as this is what nature imbred upon them, but it is up to you as to what degree of suffering they may /could be in at the moment, and what you could/can do to be suppotive of your chorecas an owner. Photos MIGHT help. Birds are in shock most likely. May pass quickly anyway, but check them out though.

They aren't bleeding heavily, very lightly when touched last I checked. They seem to be doing well. Ideas on how to help the legless one heal up? Like natural antibiotics I can feed or what I can do to help the wound not become infected. If she is able to live then I would like to see how she copes with the injury and if it deeply hinders her ability to keep entertained and happy.

Use a product called vetericyn. It is a spray that the feed store has.
I would not try to save a leg less turkey. They grow and get so heavy that one leg would not support her.

Not trying to be graphic or dramatic, but is leg removed clean at joint? Is there bone protruding? There will need to be a fairly long term rehabilitation to make sure wound closes over. I would smear a daily glob of neosporin in the wound until you can observe no pussy areas. Tough project. If you feel up to it.... then good for you.... even better for your turkey.
Good luck. Tomorrow (hopefully ) is a better day.
