First post ever! This site is such a resource to anyone looking for information on caring for all types of birds, it's helped my family and I get into the poultry and waterfowl hobby and for that I am very thankful to everyone here (tips cap) ..with that being said, I recently adopted some Juvenal mandarin ducks and am having a hard time determining whether they're male or female. Here's a couple quick headshots, let me know what yall think! Thanks in advance, cheers -H.A.

Welcome to BYC!
I am not seeing any pictures, so try posting them again please. Head shots, full body shots, and group pictures are the best.

You can upload the pictures directly from your computer. When typing a reply there is an icon that shows two mountains and the sun. If you click on that then you can upload pictures from your files. It's much simpler than having to use Photobucket in my opinion.

Sorry for the delay, hope this helps..

I cannot discern anything from the first picture other than that there are chickens and domestic ducks with the mandarins. I personally would not keep the ornamental ducks with domestic ones and chickens. The second picture suggests a pair. My juvenile males have pink beaks, sail feathers, and they are making male vocalizations now.
