duck losing weight.. what to do?

Reptar has now been started on poultry cell and equine safeguard 10% paste. i administered her first dosage at 20mg/kg, but i would appreciate more input as i have found several different dosages online and am unsure of which one is appropriate for her situation. i assume undershooting may run the risk of creating resistance in the worms but i was also afraid to overshoot and risk toxicity so i've met somewhere in the middle for today just so i can get it in her system and started her at .23ml of paste. i plan on continue to reading into this tonight but if anyone knows more specifics on dosing ducks with safeguard, it would be much appreciated! @casportpony

I believe the two dose is 10 days apart is for most worms, but the five doses five days in a row is for gape worms

Hopefully the dewormer and the vitamins will boost her appetite for her regular food. You can sprinkle 1 tablespoon of nutritional yeast on every one cup of her regular food- that adds niacin and some extra calories and my Ducks love it, especially if I add warm water also and make their food into a mash (like a soupy oatmeal consistency) if you do that, don’t leave it out more than three hours or bacteria starts to grow

the mash was a hit with the girls! nutritional yeast for extra calories is a great idea, i will continue to offer the enriched mash daily with their regular feed. Reptar's appetite is great and she is still being her busy self. i will check her weight tomorrow morning but i figure i may not see much gain til her course of dewormer is complete. thank you for all your help, i will continue to update til this is resolved :)❤️

Wonderful news !

update: reptar is now gaining weight (currently 2.8lb, with her starting weight being 2.5lb) and completed her 5-day course on the 9th. i found a lot of mixed information online about the recommended course length; would it be advisable to give her 1 to 2 booster doses 10 days after the last day of her 5-day course? (last day being the 9th, the boosters the 19th and 20th) additionally, is it safe to consume eggs during and immediately after the course or should they be discarded? she was dosed at 20mg/kg. thanks kindly!
