K&H heating pad in nest box

I was wondering if anyone has used the K&H heating pad for small animals in their nesting box to keep the eggs from freezing. I was thinking of putting it on a timer from 6am until I get home after work. I live in Ontario and winters can get very cold so all my eggs would be frozen. http://www.khmfg.com/thermo-peep-heated-pad.html

Also what is the best waterer for temps that can go to -30, -40 degrees C. Will those plastic heated ones freeze at those temps?

A little pricier than the seed mats I chose, but they should work well.

I'll try it this winter and see how it goes. I'll post the results once winter comes.
