I was sorta wondering about that but the guys from Kansas and OK have
southern accents. Hmmmmm... A mystery....
Off to lose some money!!! WooHoo!!!!
Maybe I've got an accent and just don't know it!!!
After a brief history lesson I learned Kansas entered the Union 3 months
prior to the outbreak of civil war so technically Kansas folks would have
been considered Yankees.
Today it's considered a midwestern state right?
Tonight I made a point to strike up a conversation with the girls at the
hotel's front desk. They didn't have the mild southern accent I noticed in
my coworkers from Kansas and OK. It was hard having to talk to these
two sweet young ladies but it was worth it for research sake.
Another thing I noticed about the people at the casino tonight was how
friendly they were. We have two HUGE casinos in CT but the people,
even the ones who work there, are downright rude compared to the
folks in the twin Kansas Cities.
