I agree with @Hope Hughes chickens are flock animals and are generally happier with others of their own kind around. BYC has a buy-sell-trade forum (it also includes a section for members wanting to re-home birds), you can check it out and maybe find your girl some company:

I think you need 20 posts minimum to use it, but that's easy enough.

If you don't want to add any more birds, some people do have house chickens. Here's a thread on that:

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.
