Though we do not have to deal with as much heat as you, we do have cold winters. Our coops are under trees, so good in the summer. We painted the coop dark colors (1 black 1 barn red w/black trim), to absorb the sun/warmth in the winter w/o leaves on the trees. What color is your coop? A light color might help reflect the sun as well. It may not matter with the tarp you have added.

The coop is a light brown color with a blue roof; there is only 1 tree in my backyard so during the hottest hours of the day the whole backyard is in direct sunlight. The tarp blocks the sunlight during those hours except the hours 3-4pm.
