Oh my gosh, that's so absolutely cool!!!!! :yesss:I've been trying to find someone that I can talk to in Hebrew! You've gotta be kidding me! You've spent time in Israel! I've been longing to go to Israel for forever!!! I noticed you had a Hebrew name, also! Aryeh means lion, right?
.שלום! מה שלומך? אני טוב מאוד
Yes Aryeh means lion in Hebrew.

Good morning Y'all :frow

I got some pics! I know they aren't the greatest cause it's dark, but they'll do for now. I'll try to get some better ones tomorrow!

This is Chavatzelet (means lily in Hebrew), I call her Chava for short. She is sitting on her 2nd batch of eggs this year. She started out sitting on 25 eggs (AMAZING for a small little 5 pound hen!), and she now has 23 eggs left. I candled her eggs the other night and 2 of them were infertile.
Chava had the bright idea of nesting in a messy corner next to a styrofoam board, and chewing it to bits and pieces to line her nest with. That is a very Muscovy-ish thing to do!

This is Yasmin (means Jasmine in Hebrew). She is also working on her 2nd nest this year. Yasmin and Lilach (another of my Muscovy hens) are both laying eggs in the same nest. So far they have 17 eggs in the nest. Yasmin is already showing signs of broodiness, but I'm hoping her and Lilach will sit on the nest together. This is last batch of eggs I'm going to let my Muscovies brood this year. Winter will be here before I know it, and I can't believe it's already August! View attachment 1867463

They are adorable :love

@Akrnaf2 Bennie there are a couple folks in this thread who would enjoy the opportunity to chat in Hebrew and it wouldn't hurt me to try and refresh. I'm sure Kayla wouldn't mind the change in pace. It's been decades since I've spoken Hebrew or Yiddish. And I was never very good at it.

I’m doing well. And yourself?
How come you spoke Hebrew & Yiddish Bob?
I'm doing well.
My best friend's grandmother was a Holocaust survivor. He and I would go during the summer and on weekends (during school) to help her setup her restaurant in the mornings. Even though she spoke mostly English, she'd wander through German, Yiddish and Hebrew. So through a lot of translation I started to pick up the languages. I already spoke German so that really wasn't an issue. After a few years, what ever the language de jure was, I could keep up. I've largely lost all of the languages I've learned as I've aged and not used them.
