My ameraucana has been laying every other day. but the other newbies haven’t layed anything yet.

At least 12. I’ve been getting 9-10 eggs a day, but I guess some of them took a break!

Yup she will be laying soon. Are you going to band they’re Bantam pullets since they all look alike?

I probably will. Only 2 are identical, which is good. Maybe one will be pink and the other orange or blue banded. Question- do you band all of your birds? Or just some of them (for identification purposes)?

I felt terrible this morning When I went outside I found that Opal (red sex link hen) was out of the coop. I forgot about her yesterday!! Poor girl, she got left out of the coop, but it was my fault. Luckily She’s okay and there aren’t too many predators around here. I usually do a head-count before locking everything down, but yesterday I didn’t. Of course.
