I won’t be banding my Ameraucanas until I can’t tell them apart from their future offspring. I still haven’t banded the bantams

Me too. My Ameraucanas were also sold as Araucanas, but hey, I knew they were Ameraucanas. Clearly.

Anything with a beard, they sold as an Araucana.

You should band them now with a single color band to designate them as breeders.
All chicks hatched that you keep to adulthood should be banded with a different color band.

It has been confirmed- I’m going to the Auction again on Friday. I’m just going with my uncle, so unless I see ducks or silkie hens, I shouldn’t be coming home with anything.
