That's awesome. I don't want to sound ignorant, maybe just uneducated. Would you explain to me why you need a rabbi to do the slaughtering?

I wouldn’t mind explaining at all. So since I’m Jewish and I keep kosher I need a Rabbi or someone certified as a shochet (ritual slaughterer) to slaughter the chickens and check the carcasses to make sure everything is good. That's pretty cool, and thank you. I'll stop by your thread later on (working on a coop/tractor at the moment). I love being educated by others, especially in regards to other cultures. The culture I was born into is very narrow-minded, very bigoted, and in my opinion downright ignorant. Anything I can do to further separate myself from it, I'm all for.
