The snapping turtle will take care of all the fish! :(
So I've heard except that there were always lots of fish and an adult snapping turtle in the pond before it went dry. Didn't see the turtle often. I understand they have to be about 15 years old to breed so that little baby turtle came from somewhere right? Sadly I found a snapping turtle between the cattle panel fence covered with chicken wire and the poultry electronet fence. Nothing but shell. Not sure how it got there unless it went under the far side of the net fence then got stuck trying to go under the part by the cattle panel. AND :hitthere was another adult outside the perimeter fence of the 1 fenced acre. It got stuck under a hotwire on the fence. Probably not dead a long time when I found it since it wasn't rotted.
I THINK I saw a smaller (3/4 size) snapper hop into the pond last summer so there might be a baby and a "teen".

Got pics of the escapee's this morning...haven't seen them for 2 days. :idunnodon't know where they were?
Did they come back to the coop?

That's just too cold for us Southern folks!
That is for sure!!! You sure you didn't move a ton of miles north?

My main chicken flock. :p
