Thank you for this! I actually am confident I’ll have to help... One’s at the pointy end and the other at the fat end.Just make sure that you are extremely prepared for everything to go wrong with doubles. One may develop faster and kill the other, or they may converge and create a multi-winged or legged chick. They may make it but unless the egg is extremely large it’s highly unlikely. Don’t candle them everyday if possible as they need to be in a consistent setting. Higher humidity is better as they need more room to grow which means the smaller the air cell the better. If they do manage to make it to hatching, you will have to assist them. It’s virtually impossible for them to both be in the correct pipping position.
Once again, it’s not an easy task. We did it as a personal experiment because we knew that we could make the hard choices. We were testing our new incubator, but didn’t need anymore chickens (we still went and bought more because the lone chick that hatched) so we took the risk.
