Every time I think I have things figured out.A thermometer's accuracy at freezing can be wayyyyy off at 100°F. I would look to other means because this could compound the issue.

This is why I think I will wind up just going with whatever the incubator says and crossing my fingersEvery time I think I have things figured out.![]()
I sort of just average it between the two. I've had 2 successful hatches with this bator and that's what I've done. This is why I think I will wind up just going with whatever the incubator says and crossing my fingers

I’m not sure how to know if a thermometer is accurate or not. So I don’t know if the little mini is correct or if the Kebonnix one is correct.
And if I need to adjust Kebonnix I don’t really know how to do that either haha
I just checked the user manual, and it says that a digital thermometer may register lower than the Kebonnixs thermometer - but explains why that might be (plastic housing vs direct air contact). It recommends using a liquid thermometer instead, placed at the level of the eggs. I guess I've got more testing to do.I set my kebonnix at 100 since it seemed just a half degree below the electronic one when I tested it.....
Remember that humidity is affected not by how much water is in the reservoir, but by how much of the water's surface area is exposed to the air. So you could theoretically have a jar of water in one, and a 1/4-cup of water in another - and if the diameter of both containers is the same, then the humidity will be the same......I added water to the small line, but it went up into the 60’s, so i suctioned a bit out. I’ll have to run it a bit under the line......This morning I put 12 eggs in. Humidity is at 45%...... Will see how long the humidity holds before I have to add more water.
I googled "mercury thermometer for sale" and got a boatload. This one looks interesting: https://www.katom.com/383-5458.html...r&utm_content=SZ_REDIRECT_ID&utm_term=3835458I tried to order a mercury thermometer as I have a bunch of non-mercury liquid ones at school and none were even close to accurate. If anyone finds a link to a mercury thermometer, please let me know!
