Keene, NH Sun. June 14th, 2009 Chickenstock @ Agway

I will have 5 Speckled Sussex pullets to sell at this swap. They will be approximately 7 weeks old by then. I'm really looking forward to the swap already! Too bad it's still so far off!

I added extra chicks to my mid-May order, so i think i'll have some extras to bring to the Keene swap. I'm not sure what yet, as i think i'll be taking some chicks to the Milford swap on May 23. I'll see how it goes.
I think i will also have some herbs and perennials. i'm dividing mine, and will put extras in pots or flats to take---they'll be cheap, maybe some free ones too!

I'm going to start notifying the papers etc for this swap in the week and I was wondering if anyone wanted to post the info on craigslist for me that would be a BIG help (VT, NH, MASS, and ME craigslist)

plus print up flyers and leave them at the feed store etc.

Getting the word out is half the battle...

Anyone think having a radio station broadcast it a good idea?? Or is that overkill?

I have never paid any attention to that Agway, how big is the parking lot? Advertising is always good, but does the store have the facilities to handle a big crowd?

Yes they can accomodate a large crowd. its one of the few Agways with a large parking lot.

I hope I can sell all these chicks I have been hatching

I might have over done it. I think I might bring all my DVDs I dont ever watch.I have like 40 or so.

I think the newspapers and craigslist will be enough...the radio charges anyhow.

The Agway is very big...she is going to make room in the front of the store for the authors...so they can have cover in case it rains. I'm going to have to call Dana at the store and give her an update....and flyer. Really all there is to do is spread the word and come to set up morning of.

DVD's are fabulous, Siz!!

I'll have my 10x10 awning with me..... how is the wind there anyway?

It didn't sustain any permanent damage from my excitement at Merrimack with the wind....
