keep heating or not keep heating... that's the question

Hey guys

So my chicks are now coming up to a month. When should I be thinking of turning the heat off? Unfortunately I don't have a dimmer and I'm at work all day so I've got a timer thing to turn the light on and off as necessary. Temperatures during the day here are around 50-60 and night time as low as 40 or there abouts. A friend of mine said just give them heat at night??

Mine hatched in April but as I recall they only had heat 24/7 for the first 10 days to two weeks. After that they had it nights only and by 4 weeks they were outside and had no heat at all. It was a little different situation because we were going into summer, not winter, but still, you should definitely be down to nights only by now at the least.
