Keep losing babies

I'm about to give up on geese , we got 2 female embden geese in the mail today and one passed away not even 2 hrs after pick up. Now I'm stuck with a lone baby goose and don't know what to do. We put a stuffed animal in the pen but idk if it's worth it anymore

Give it a mirror, and it will imprint/bond with its image. Geese are worth the effort. Shipping is frequently a problem.

We put a mirror in there , will her becoming depressed and lonely be an issue or should she adjust?

I’m so sorry! The mirror and a stuffy will work in the meantime, extra snuggle time will do her good. You could also look around on Craigslist, local Facebook groups and waterfowl sanctuaries for another gosling. It’s baby season and there’s a good chance someone else has available goslings.

It will bond with you. Give it more attention. I had a single gosling for a week or two before my others arrived. She did fine, but had to be separated from the others for a while since she was bigger and a bit jealous of them.
