Last spring i started out with 4 chicks from a farmers market. He claimed they were sexed but two were roos. We are not allowed to have roos in the city so they had to go.

That left two lovely ladies which were very personable. One of them was attacked (Found her laying in her coop next to roost, no head or neck everything else just fine) few days ago.

So we got 4 new 1 week old chicks(This time from the local Feed mill) , Light Braham, Ameraucana, Speckled Sussex and silver laced wyandotte.

But this means my Older laddie is going to be alone for 3 or 4 months. Is this mean to her? Do you think she will be OK?

Thanks.. -Mark

chickens are flock animals, so she may be unhappy during this time. If you intigrate the chicks ASAP, though, she should be fine. Good luck!
