Hi everyone! We have four ducks. Previously we only had three (two females and a male), but over the winter one of our female ducks laid an egg that started to pip. As soon as it started to pip they kicked it out of their brooder box. I brought it in and hatched it in my shirt and raised her. She hatched on December 29. She is twelve weeks old today. I have tried over these twelve weeks to integrate her with our other ducks but the male relentlessly attacks her. She has a separate enclosure where they can interact but cannot get to each other. I’m afraid she’s going to get lonely. I can’t be with her outside like we were together inside. Can I get a few chicks to be her friends? I really want some chickens but didn’t know if I could integrate female chickens with a female duck. If not chicks should I get a few more female ducklings to keep her company?

I think females of ducks and chickens would be fine together. It's when it's a male duck with female chickens that it becomes a problem. Just make sure you aren't putting day old chicks in with a 16 week old duck. Maybe brood them next to her so they are familiar with each other by the time chicks are big enough.
