Yes this is true we lost our very first flock of 18 and me and the family was devastated it was horrible I promised the children it would never ever happen again and if the good lord willing and my power never fails and my super max hut never gives way lol I think the girls stand a pretty good chance of living a long spoiled happy life. Lol

Oh gosh I am so sorry for your loss! Unfortunately chickens don't come with a manual, we have to learn as we go. Long live all your babies, spoil them rotten!
