Keeping a flock with variety - will everyone get along?

I am getting 20 chicks, a variety of breeds. 16 will be regular size, no bantams and breeds such as EE, RIR, BO, BR, BA, etc. But I also wanted to get 4 birds that my kids can show at 4-H. We were looking at silkies & frizzles. If I get all of them at the same time, can they live together in the coop & run peaceably? Do I have to separate the "show birds"? Will the regular looking chickens pick on the silkies because they look different?

I have 5 pekin bantams hens running with 4 jersey giant hens, 3 Vorwerk hens and a maran cockerel. They all get on fine with one another!

I have got 2 bantam frizzles, 2 RIR bantams, 2 standard Marans, 2 standard Leghorns, 1 Leghorn rooster and may young pullets, and even 3 chicks all running together and they are fine.
As long as they grow up togther they should all be fine

I have always had mixed flocks of 1 degree or another and have never had serious issues, besides normal pecking order or 2 roos getting overly aggressive when heavy breeding time was apparent. Even with mixing different species, (Guineas,ducks and chickens) they work out a way to get along. In my experiences anyway.
