I feel badly also as we have had an unusually bitter cold snap here in west central MO. They seem to be doing fine though. Except they don't like my gloves and peck at them, the roo is vocal bout them, hysterical.
With the highs being 10 degrees, it's warmer now yesterday was 24. I've been home from work sick this week so have been able to change out their frozen water more often but just getting me bundled up is exhausting. It doesn't take the water long to freeze. I have no power to my backyard without running an extension cord through an open window. I will be checking into a solar option for next year for water and maybe for the next box. My girls just started laying one on Christmas Eve and I keep finding frozen cracked open eggs.
