Hello, two days ago I chased a bobcat away from my chickens, I mean seconds away from pouncing on them, so I am keeping my two chickens inside their pen which is inside our garage for a week so the cat thinks or hopefully thinks there is nothing here for her. I have regular food and kitchen scraps for them but do they need something else like some sort of stone to help digest? Help please..Thanks

It wouldn't hurt to give them some grit.

However, if they have been getting sufficient grit from your soil for very long, and you're only going to keep them inside for a week, i would feel pretty safe just giving them their regular food and not worrying about the grit. Thats just what i would do.

Thank u so much!
