keeping clean

does anyone have any suggestions on keeping the cage & house clean?
In general? I try to clean the coop out everyday. If I skip a day the ducks get more dirty.
Ducks are messy! If your duckhouse is big enough give them a space where they can eat and drink apart from where they sleep.

I call the flees to eat the poop 💩.

Seriously. I clean out the poop board 1x a week. They drop the poop into a kind of bedding (old hay /sand / grass clippings etc) I change the hay in the nesting boxes and clean the dirt (sand) floor in the coop every two weeks. My chickens don’t poop there. (Potty trained :gig)

I do not clean the run but let them free range often. If they stay inside the run they have plenty of room. I add things to compost in the run, make the soil fertile. There are bushes in the run and rain/water comes in.

And true, there are flees that eat the poop. There are not so many that the flees are a nuisance. There is no poop smelling, the poop disappears after a while.

Pretty sure we are talking ducks here.
Silly things won't use a poop board. ;)
