I have a bantam roo, hen and now 2 chicks that are 3 months old. I have kept them in a smaller run and ended up building a bigger run when someone's Easter chickens got too big for their home in the city. So now i have a Rhode Island Red hen and rooster that are 4 months old. I've only had chickens for a year, the bantams, and was wondering if the 2 breeds could ever share the same, new, big coop and run that we built for the reds or if i will always have to keep them separated?

Thanks for any and all input on this.

I have always mixed different breeds, but just keeping the size similar. I have two coups with 3 bantams in one (all of which are diffent breeds) and a standard size, bird a very lage "bantam" and a bantam roo (who seems to be able to hold his own with the bigger birds) in the other.
Hope this helps!
