Keeping ducks in the desert

I am not as dry and hot as some of you, but I think some of my ideas will transfer.

I have an area that gets mostly shaded in the summer by my big grape vine. They chill out under the vines and even eat the lower leaves. I also got them a 6' round stock tank and sunk it down so they can use that as a pool. For the winter, they have a covered night pen with a dog igloo in it. Nobody has frozen in the winter or had heat stroke in the summer yet.

Actually I think a dry climate makes it easier to raise ducks. This year has been really wet and I am finally getting a taste of what the midwesterners go through. Ew! LOL
