Keeping free range chickens.

Mine did not get it by a predator I could see them in next yard so tried to catch them to no avail, by the time I called for help
I could not find them...I find that the SF's run like lightening before you know it. Mine got out as I opened the door to feed them all:>(

Appreciate the reply, but no, it was not a predator, they just went one yard over and thou I tried to capture/or herd them back to the
coop, I couldn't. My guess is they were too young. I have cover everywhere on my property even close to the coop. Yard waste, shrubs
and a half acre of woods. One came back today and wants into the coop, Yeah!
