We are looking at getting Boer goats. I'm looking for a way to keep them out of the chicken coop. How small of a pop door can a rooster get out of? Are there any good designs for other doors out there?

What breed rooster?

I think a 12" wide 14" tall door can accommodate most breeds.
They are ameraucana mixed roosters. Good size, maybe 6-7 lbs. The one pictured is the biggest. I really need a small door to keep goats out.

I have seen videos where the goat/chicken keeper used an additional kind of foyer for the birds.
They built a box onto the coop where the door was with the opening on the side so not in line with the coop door.

It might work.

Your roo should be able to make it through an 8" wide and 10" tall door but it would be a squeeze.
