I have a 20' x 40' Pen that is 10' high. I have 16 chickens in it. I have a Separate Pen for my Red Golden pheasants, but I want to get lady Amherst pheasants.

Can I put a trio of Lady A's in this large pen with chickens?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

In my experience the lady Amherst or Goldens would be bullied by the chickens. Also their eggs are more delicate and may be eaten by the chickens. I once kept bantams and ring necks together without much difficulty, but the ring necks were definately the dominant species.

There is a section for people that keep phesants......perhaps you could drop in there and get the expert opinion from them???

I have read on here several times that you don't want to ever house game birds with your chickens. It's a disease thing. Try posting your question over on the game bird section and you may get folks who can give you more details. Good luck!
