Another way to look at it is less is more. As you grow and acquire different blood and multiple lines per breed it can get overwhelming. I'm not saying a skeleton list but maybe think about what actually matters. As you start collecting information and breeding this to that then back to this it will snowball

I wrote down what I think will be important to keep track of. I'm handwriting it all because I only have tablets and my phone, which is too hard to do spreadsheets on. I'll do it the old fashioned way for now.

Take a picture of it and one of use will transfer it toba Google sheet for you.
If you don't have a Google account set one up and you will be able to copy the sheet and move it to your own account where you can edit it.
I'll teach you how to use it.

For meat birds you probably want to track growth rate, and maybe feed conversion.

For egg birds, it's hard to track eggs per year but you can measure how long they lay in the year.

I don't track layers eggs unless it's for fertility. I might track how many I get a day or something.

I don't have a laptop, I haven't had one in years because I never really had a need for one... Until now!
I never got any mobile devices, except a cheap cell phone for awhile,
can't afford them and they don't even access websites very well(not full function)...
..especially when you live where there is no cell signal
I've always needed my computer for work, and the mobile devices won't even run the most important cadd software I needed. I'm officially a luddite in this day and age:D

I'm thinking of picking up a laptop when Black Friday sales hit or cyber Monday. I use my cell as a hotspot for wifi. I live in the country and you can only get turtle slow internet so that's why I have my phone. I think it's DSL internet we can get. We had it at one point and I tried to stream a movie from our satellite and it told me it would take 4 days so I cancelled the internet.
