I have a question about roo's. I have two young ones that I know of...a Sultan and Ameraucana. I have two coops/runs.

    #1 coop/run - EE, 3 BO, 4 silkies

#2Coop/run - 2 Barnevelders, 1 polish, 2 golden sebrights, 2 buff sebrights, 3 silver sebrights and for now both roo's

Both tend to stay with those in the #2 group most of the time they are free ranging. I would love to keep the Ameraucana, I think he's going to look cool, but my DH loves the Sultan. With #1 and keep the Sultan in #2, but worry about keeping standard roo's with the silkies or Sebrights? Can anyone tell me what would happen? And how long after they start to crow will they stay friends? [IMG]

It all depends upon the size and temperment of your roosters. Extremely rough, aggressive standard roosters can cause serious harm to bantam hens. Sebrights are especially small and might be injured by an amorous larger rooster. You can always try them together and remoe the roosters if problems arise.
