Hey I am getting show birds and I am wondering what is the best way for keeping them.
Thanks Jack

You can keep show birds with your other chickens if you want. If you are afraid of a 'pecking order', or your bird losing feathers before you show, you can separate him/her. I raised my two roosters this year and showed them at my local fair and they did great; both placed! I kept them with my other chickens and they did fine.

They should be seperated from your other birds. If you go to a serious show a bird that is let run around with the others won't place.
My suggestion would be to put conditioning cages in your current coop or build a new coop and keep them on the floor until a month before the show and then put them into conditioning cages. You could also build a run outside to let them out sometimes
