Keeping snakes away!!!

I don't have my chickens outside yet .. We r building the coop this weekend. But what is the best snake keeper outer there is? I know there is gonna be snakes because the coop backs up to the swamp ( I live in fl) help!!!

moth balls, just have to place where chickens cant eat it

Put the moth balls in a plastic drink bottle and poke holes in the bottle, small ones so when they shrink they will not fall out of the bottle place these along the walls , snakes do not like the taist of the moth balls in the air and avoid that area.
