I am shaking so bad. I have four white pekin ducks. I let them free range during the day and they get locked up at night, I never thought I could love them as much as I do.I work from home so its easy to care for them and my other pets. Today at 1 in the afternoon they where quacking so bad. I ran out to find them being chased by a raccoon. MY hands are still shaking. How am I going to keep them safe? Does this mean they cant leave the pen. Please help. I am on the verge of tears.

Raccoons are my worry too. Nasty, mean, vicious, sneaky, smart. You don't think to look up but I see them in the trees doing their Tarzan jumping with little ones trailing along. I built my run to be raccoon proof, but there is no such thing. Tricky little monsters.

Definitely get traps. I had a family of raccoons eat both of my Pekin Sisters and -then- tried to rip apart my chicken coop the next few nights.

It was very frustrating to say the least, but a combination of live traps and one of those arm traps helped tremendously. After a long week of catching, we finally had peace again.
