I have 13- 5&6day old standard chicks.. All Either Purebred Americaunas or Americauna mixes.. the one and only rooster was an Americauna. I need to keep track of them. Is it to early to start banding them? Any other way to keep track of them? They all look the same to me,

No, I don't think it is too early. I put a leg band on my nephew's chick for him at a week old, so he could remember which one he picked out for himself.

Its not to early just make sure u keep an eye on the size of the band and the size of the chicks leg. And enlarge as nessecary. They grow really fast! We found that the Chick bands sold by randal Burkley (sp?) only work for 2weeks then they are too tight. Where really hard ot get back off of them.
