We just picked up our 6 turkeys this past week. Our original plan was to harvest all 6 birds in late fall, but now...I'm thinking I might like to keep a pair over the winter so we have our own eggs next spring.
Can anyone provide some basics on what they need to survive New England winters?
We've had chickens for a while, and they've done fine in their coop over the winter....but I'm really at a loss as to what the turkeys need.
We have Narragansetts if that matters
Thanks in advance!
