keeping water dish clean

Hello, We are new chicken owners. We have 5 chicks that are now 2 1/2 weeks old. So far they are doing very good. The biggest issue is that they keep getting the bedding into their water container. I clean it every day and within no time it is full of bedding. Any tips?

Raise it up above the bedding. I put mine on some bricks. Chest height is good.

Elevation!
This is a common issue, and a simple fix is raising the water. Place it so the lip is about back height (continue to raise as they grow)...pavers, wood blocks, upside down pan, etc.
I have also created actual platforms to create more clearance between bedding and feed/water....upside down cake pan shown here, feed 9n 2x4s, even 3 day olds easily hopped up/down

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I raised the water and so far it is working out much better!

I use 8 and 16 oz sour cream containers (filled with sand for weight).
Fits the chick waterer diameter perfectly.
