keifer help

I got my keifer grains this week, and I followed the directions, putting 2 cups of milk and det for 24 hrs at room temp... Its not think, its all seperated and nasty looking. What am I doing wrong?

You've just made some very strong kefir, that's all. :O) You may have to gently strain through the thick yogurt a bit to fish out your grains, and then you can mix or blend the watery and the solid together, and, tada!! Kefir.

edit: you could put more milk in, for less strong kefir, if you like!

Mmmm! Sounds great!

I love to add raw honey and fresh grated cinnamon. Sometimes I use stevia too instead of honey.

(MamaDoula, you should come over there and talk to us about "doula" things. We are having a discussion on low intervention births!)
