I'm using a concrete shed for my coop, which is attached to a run. The shed as of now has no door. I don't necessarily want to build a new door, and I'm also concerned about ventilation. My 9x12 shed only has two small windows.

Can I just predator-proof the door area with galvanized hardware cloth attached to some 2x4s and call it a day? Or is this a bad idea?

Thank you.

Interesting.
A predator proof run would protect an open doored coop...
...but better make sure it's really predator proof.
Pics of concrete coop?

I'm not sure whether you mean to build something like a screen door, or a secure fenced area that's just outside the door, but as long as it keeps predators out and lets air in, it sounds like a great idea.
