I'll play it by ear and see how they look by then and find out the times and such. Thanks for letting me know about it.

Okay, I have got to stop posting when I'm asleep. The Milton,Ky swap is the 10'th and the show is the 17th. Sorry for any confusion.

Good luck on your hatch. What do you have?

I started with 29 white eggs (unknown variety) given to me by an Amish friend who had some extra from his own stock, and 12 large brown eggs from another Amishman from his farm.

I also have 20 white crested ducks and 9 black east indies ducks on order from Meyer hatchery due the following week after the 10th. I need to go check my notes to see when delivery is again so i can let the post office know.

ps.. new update to the family. Purchased a fine looking specimen of a billy goat for all my nannies and also got 2 more nannies from someone else the next day. 1 of which is pregnant and due any day and the other just looks nice but since both were a good deal couldn't refuse it. Then the next day the lady who sold us the nannies called and asked if we would be interested in 2 more goats. BABY KIDS.... (apparently they couldn't figure out which one was the mommas to these 2) how can you say no to those cute lil things. Ofcourse we took them, well for 50 bux each they better not die..

They have both been taking milk good so thats a good sign atleast. I'll post a pic when I find the cord to the camera. Right now the wife are working on naming them and I finally said calm down with the names. You have named every goat and MY dog and her cat and I am naming these 2 so back off .

Nothing around here gets a name unless it goes to the vet. I have around 300 chickens, 25 cats, 15 or so ducks, 3 horses, 3 dogs, quail, button quail, pheasants, a rabbit, 2 goats, and I have that feeling I've left someone out again! Oh well they can't read.
Until it goes to the vet it's Buddy or Sweetie.

nice.

I agree about the names of things for the most part. The goats all get named apparently because Connie just doesn't see them as meat goats lol. (and there just so darn cute it is kinda difficult to see butchering them) I don't mind killing things to eat, I just have to not think about what I am doing sorta. I don't have any poultry yet.

but I seem to have an addiction to wanting more and more of them. I right now want geese and swans baaaaaaad, but I see that swans are going to be out of my budget for a LONG time from the prices ive seen, and it doesn't seem to be possible to buy day old swan chicks anywhere. I really want some geese and rouen ducks soon, but I don't have any pens built yet. I just want to see a bunch of ducks running around the pond. ok I am rambling... lol I got an email from mcmurry this morning about pheasants being on sale and... well I wish I had a lot more pens built cuz I think those and a bunch of quail would be awesome too.. sheesh. I've just gotta slow down.

Nothing around here gets eatn. I couldn't if I wanted to, I' allergic to poultry and eggs, so I'd starve if I had to depend on feeding myself.

They had swans at Milton last year. Thay are expensive! Are you going to try to come up for it?

I'm not real sure yet, they are both pretty far away and right now we have 2 bottle feeding kids that are 10 days old, and 2 more that were born 4 days ago to a mother who only has one working tit. They all seem to be doing real well and the 2 we have with the mom seem to be doing great irregardless of her lil problem. We keep a close eye on them all just the same.

ps, they all have names now... the two with the momma are Patches and Dusty both females and the two orphins were bottle feeding are Duke and Sara. Duke for John Wayne and Sara from Two Mules for Sister Sarah.
