Can all the people with khaki Campbells share some information with me. I've googled them and every thing bit I can't find a whole lot of information. So any info will be greatly appreciated.

I dont know to much about khakis since this will be my first year having them. But i do know that mine have very sweet temperment and are one of the best egg layers. But they are not good broodies. They only weigh about 4 pounds. They are a desendent from indian runners and rouens. Then again mixed with mallards. They are not a good meat birds. This is what i have learned so far about this breed. So seems to me to be a good breed to have. Hope this helps.

I've had Khakis for nearly 3 years now and I think they're the best breed (I could be slightly biased haha)

The one I have left lays pretty much every single day, regardless of moulting which means I have to give her lots of extra protein and calcium when she is moulting.

They have a wonderful temperament, and if you spend enough time with them and get to know each one individually, you will have a very lovely friend in these ducks!

The eggs are white and small-medium sized and they can live up to about 8 years. Some other breeds live longer because they do not go through the stres of laying so many eggs.

The girls can be quite loud if they want to be, and their colours are fasinating - in the summer they are creamy-blonde, and in the winter they are dark brown!

They aren't the best brood - they will usually sit on an undisturbed nest for as many as 10 days before giving up.

If you have any specific questions you can send me and email/personal message and I'll happily answer them!

I would have to sneak them in anyway. My parents arent much into the whole duck thing. Meaning they dont like them. Wish I could afford to live on my own, then i could have all i want.

Do male Khakis grow fast and bigger than their female counter parts?
I have 2 and they were both the same size when I got them, but now one is noticeable bigger and "stands guard" while the other plays in the tub. The smaller one doesn't guard him as well when he plays. I'm hoping one is girl and the other boy.
