hello,
i have a drake khaki campbell as a pet and he lives with the chickens
He's about 1 year old now, anyway,
whenever I try to pic him up he runs off, and he doesn't really like people
any idea on how I can make him more of a people duck?
thanks

Khaki's aren't really "people ducks" so much. If you raise them from an egg you have better luck if you handle them a lot, etc... At a year old I don't think he will get much friendlier.

I have a runner I got as an adult. I have had her almost a year and she still acts like I am going to murder her if I get closer than 2'. The khakis I got at the same time weren't quite as bad, but they still weren't all cuddly or anything.

ya, in order to hold him i have to trap him in a corner then pic him up
after a while of holding him he calms down
but i cant approach him with out him freaking out

I would just keep trying. Some ducks may never be that friendly some won't leave you alone. I have 2 khaki drakes and they do not like to be held. Offer lots of yummy treats and spend alot of time with them and hold them as often as you can. He may come around for you. Here is a good treat list.

Remember this motto to live by: Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO what a ride!'

We have Khaki Campbells

They think we are axe murders.

None of them have ever acted like they wanted to be friendly.

They do "kind of" like us at feeding time.
