khaki Campbell drake's

My name is jay kramer I live in Ogden utah and recently started raising khaki campbell ducks I have 4 incubators and quickly became a duck farmer. now im a none licensed vet.Inow have 3 hens and 1 drake who supply all eggs.within 6 weeks i had 36 khaki s running all over my property, its 1 acre. its the most rewording job i have ever had,i was a custom home builder for 36 years. 1 thing i have learned is these precious little animal's depend on u.make sure that you purchase niacin and green peas to help there bones grow.Oh yeah i also purchased 10 Peking and they are 3 months and absolutely amazing.and we wont forget the 2 Roman tufted geese.
Hi, Jay, I am a newbie like yourself. I have 2 cajuga's (hen/drake) and two Khaki's (hen/?) All are about 5 months. The cajuga drake developed fast but the Khaki's were slow. Question for you. Shouldn't the khaki drake have its curl by now? The one in question has a small lift to the middle feather but that hasn't changed in 2 months. He or she acts like both sexes. So, bizarre. Perhaps because it is late fall he hasn't feathered out and is late. The other Khaki is for sure a hen. The cajuga drake and her are always 'getting it on". The other Khaki seems a bit like a loner. Cajuga hen is very protective of her man and is so funny to watch. Any input from you would be helpful. And Welcome! Ellen
