Khaki Campbell ducklings crested?

Hello! I’m new to the group and new to Khaki Campbell ducks (I have Indian Runners and Welsh Harlequins). My 2 new 3 week old KC ducklings both have crests. I thought it would go away but it’s getting bigger. I haven’t seen this on any pics of Khaki Campbell ducklings so I’m a little confused. I know on a created pekin it’s a genetic mutation. Could they have been cross bred with a crested pekin or should I been concerned that there is something wrong with them? (I bought them from Wilco so I would have assumed they get from reputable breeders). Thanks!

I have a pair of Khaki Campbells... my female (Fran) is crested. Fabio (male) is not. So yes they can be crested

Wow, thanks! Your girl is a beaut! I was actually thinking about getting a crested pekin but after reading that the crest is a genetic mutation and can cause health issues I chose not to. Guess we’ll see how healthy my lil crested girls turn out.
