If their quacks sound like a cartoon duck quack 5hen it's probabl6 female. Their quacks are really loud. But a males, while higher in pitch, is softer and quieter. Males will also develope a curly feather by their tail to.

I have Khaki's and my males do not have the whitish stripe and the black spot at the end of the wings like the male duck in the picture by the pond.
The only difference from male to female in my khaki's is the color of the beak is dark on the female and dullish green/blue on the males, the females feet stay brown and the males feet turn orangish, and the head and down the neck get dark dull not quite black.
