this spring my drake, that wasn't quite a year old, dulled out. when will he regrow his male curled tail feather and when will he regrow his shiny green head colors?

i have one drake too many. if i get rid of one drake, will the hens that hang out with him, group up with the other pair I have?

He is now showing his eclipse plumage. He will molt into his nuptial plumage late summer through autumn. If you get rid of the one drake, his hens may join with the other pair or they may continue as their own 'unit'. Some ducks form strong pair bonds and will try to chase away any 'strangers'. In such situations the drake may breed the hens but his mate if she is dominant may chase them away from her 'man'.

Well it has been 8 months now and he has not changed.

If I am correct?.....He will molt this spring.....Then all his proper feathers will come in.......Possibly after breeding season?
