I’ve had I think four ducks taken from me like that. I’m pretty sure one was a skunk..they leave no feathers behind. If it was a coyote or something bigger, it would have left a sign...if it was from the sky, same thing..no sign.. I’m sooo sorry..but you need to keep your living duck safe..and consider getting her a mate because ducks are social beings and tend to need a buddy to be truly happy.

I've watched a coyote take one of mine in broad daylight. Full run scoop a duck and go. No sign, didn't leave a single feather.

Racoon,snake and birds of prey are all that left remains at my place. Hawks around here are not capable of carrying away a fully grown duck. Coyote and Bobcat just take away with nothing left behind. I have found the "cache" once where the Bobcat stored what it couldn't eat for later. Other than raccoons figuring a way in my coop one time, the others were broad daylight attacks. I no longer free range during the day. Others may have different experiences. So sorry you lost your duck. It's very upsetting.
