Hi all My name is Jennifer and am new to ducks. I have 11 duck eggs. I know that we have 6 possible about to hatch and there are two that I can’t see in anymore but they are black almost. They should have already hatched today or tomorrow. I need to know is it normal for them to be black.

They are with there mother not in a incubator

The egg shell is black? Or inside the egg? Where is the air cell has it dipped? Can you post a few candling pics? @HuffleClaw hatched some KC a while back.

Definitely post candling pics. The ducklings can hatch out black, yes. And when candling I guess it’s okay for the egg to be "black" INSIDE, but not outside...
