khaki campbells

I got a pair of khaki campbells and I went to feed them the otherday when the goats spooked them they both flew all the way to the pond. I have never heard of cambells flying that far as it was close to 100yards but they both made it. I was wondering do most cambells fly pretty good?

When they're younger they can actually fly pretty well, but tend to avoid it. I have an older pair who I've seen fly, but only when they are stupid and get stuck somewhere they shouldn't be. Generally they don't fly a lot or very well.

Mine were a little flighty when they were younger but since they started laying eggs they have stopped compleatly. That is quite a distance for one I think!

They are full free range so them being in shape from plenty of exercise must have them conditioned for pretty good flight.

Mine will fly across tmy backyard about six feet from the ground, but I think they mainly do this just to stretch a little. They could definitely fly over the fence, but they don't have that intention.

Yep. Khakis are decent fliers - till they start laying, then they kind of put it on hold.
